The issue is a water leak and not ground water. The contractor is aware of the problem and we are currently working out the best course of action. We will be having our Street Division crews on standby for spot sanding/salting to curtail any icing conditions until the issue can be resolved. Well, I suggest you do something soon. With the sustained cold weather, what was merely a nuisance has now turned into a hazard. Has anyone looked at it today? Surely I can’t be the only one who has noticed this. It’s been ongoing since the road was paved.

The Water and Sewer Division investigated this issue. Further study now indicates a ground water issue. A temporary fix is in place that has improved conditions in the area. Additional site study will take place this spring for final resolution.
