Clean Air Council is gathering data to identify idling hotspots which allows for targeted enforcement. The Council has spoken with local law enforcement about patrolling this area under the overpass looking for idling. We will also continue to report idling to Air Management Services.
It would be helpful if you began to use this same thread to report idling under the El and I-95 overpasses because Clean Air Council could more easily point to a history of idling at this location. You can just add comments every time you see someone idling at the same location.

If a bus, large commercial truck or construction equipment is observed to be running its engine while stationary, please contact the Air Management Services Unit at 215-685-7580.
For all other vehicles, (cars, pickup trucks, vans, motorcycles, etc.), please report them to the Police Department at 911. Thank you. (mb)
