Just walked by two different cars pulled over with flat tires from this pothole. A neighbor is putting trash cans in them to try to prevent further damage.

I was also going to report this. I just blew a tire out in Fairview avenue going south between highland and pinehurst. There are no cones to warn you! I cannot get to work and had to wait 3 hours for the tow truck to arrive. I will file a claim to get reimbursement for the damage to my tire.

There is still damage happening to cars because there are no warning signs up between Pinehurst and Ford Pkwy on Fairview Ave. I see the file is being reviewed, but can cones or something be put up to prevent further damage? There is one sign up south of Ford pkwy, but the worst potholes are north as there are multiple gigantic holes in the road.

Update: I went by that section at 7am and there was another car on the side with a blown out tire!

I hit a pothole in that area last night. I bent 2 rims and damaged both tires. The mechanics were impressed with how badly the rims were bent. I didn't see them coming with all of the rain that had fallen.

Mechanic with the tow truck said the same thing to me! I plan to file a claim with the City once I get the new rim for my wheel. I have to get the rear wheel checked out, too. Frustrating since they could’ve put signs up yesterday.

Thank you for reporting this! I was just going to as well. We blew a tire around 8pm last night (between Fairview Ave and Ford Parkway) after leaving a hockey game at Drake arena. We were very startled with how loud the impact was and how much damage was caused. We also heard several other vehicles hit the spot as we were changing our tire in our nearby alley. We are bringing it in tomorrow to get the tire replaced and check the alignment and rim. Road side assistance estimated 90 minutes, so we ended up changing the tire in the pouring rain, and saw another vehicle pulled over. This is very dangerous and disappointing! We will also be submitting for reimbursement too.
