This is an unstaffed area. Patrons probably should not be on patio at night, unless there is a library-sponsored event.

This is the most ridiculous excuse for non-action that I believe I've ever seen on this website. The outside patio area "NOT being staffed" has NOTHING to do with safety at night, along with the usefulness while being there. This area is NEVER staffed. There are tables with umbrellas, there are benches and other places to sit, study, talk, etc. Thus, either LOCK it up when it gets dark every night OR instead spend approx. $1.00 per light bulb and install the burnt out lights to approx. 6 or 7 locations. Afterall, why did the Library have the fixtures in the first place, if they didn't intend for them to be used? If you can't afford the $1.00, I'd be happy to make a donation to the cause.

There are still 4 lights burnt out, that is, 2 flood lights for the center show piece TREE and 2 WALL lights located on either side of the EXIT/ENTRANCE door. Will you be replacing these lamps? The 7 pole lamps are fixed and look great. Thank you for doing this. It looks so much better this way and is so much safer with the lights on. Library patrons do use this area. It was built for a purpose to be used and enjoyed by all.
