This problem was initially reported on January 28, ten days ago My understanding is that your crew came out on January 29 or thereabouts. Thank you very much.
After your crew visited, the problem returned. The temperature dropped dramatically, to -13 degrees last weekend. Water has been flowing into the street for the past week. Perhaps the subzero temperatures caused another break in the water main. While we do not know the precise cause, we know what we see. Water is freely flowing in the street. There are still sheets of ice on the streets, the sidewalks, and in the yards.
What can we do to see that this problem is addressed?
What would you suggest that we do?

Re: Large collection of water and ice at Southeast corner of Lysander and Avery in the Woodbridge Neighborhood - 2 blocks West of Trumbull, 1 block South of Forest, 5 blocks North of Grand River
Dear Director Gary Brown, Gary Watkins, and Renee Baker:
You may recall that in recent years, your department has helped us address problems in the Woodbridge neighborhood. (See attached.) I write again to ask for your advice.
On January 28, neighbors reported a broken water main flooding the street on the Southeast corner of Lysander and Avery. (The closest address is 4446 Avery). https://seeclickfix.com/issues/5335110. Your staff advised me earlier today that a crew came out and addressed the problem on January 29th.
However, the problem returned. After your crew visited on the 29th, the temperatures plummeted 40 degrees Fahrenheit overnight (from + 30 degrees to -12 degrees). The drop in temperatures may have caused an additional break in the water main or some other problem. Now, there are large pools of water flowing freely in the streets. Sheets of ice cover the pavement, the sidewalks, and nearby yards. Several cars have become stuck.
What should we do? Is there some particular unit of the Water Department or other agency that we should notify? I regret bothering you again with this matter. Probably, several of my neighbors have been reporting this problem to your department. Perhaps we are calling the wrong phone numbers. I recognize that there are many demands on limited city resources during these frigid temperatures, but the issue needs resolution. Whom should we call?
Do you have any recommendations for us?
Sincerely
