Blind spot when making turns at intersection due to wall height. Wondering if there could be a mirror attached to telephone pole so every direction can see. Multiple near misses have happened with cars and people.

The mirrors that you typically see on tree and utility poles require the permission from the owner of the tree or utility pole (National Grid). As a rule, the City of Marlborough does not erect mirrors as a means of controlling traffic. At the intersection of Stevens Street and Meadow Street is and addition street name sign for the Spring Lane “T” intersection – the “Rule of the Road” gives the right of way to the vehicle on the right, so a motorist traveling down Meadow Street should be aware of approaching intersection.
If you would like to move forward with having a mirror installed on your own, you should contact National Grid for permission to do so.
If you find that the landscaping on top of the wall sections is interfering with sight distance at the intersection, you should contact the Code Enforcement Office at 460-3776 – they will instruct the homeowner to keep the top of the wall clear from any obstructions.
