This issue has been assigned to our turf crew for review. Per a 2008 decision by City Council, we no longer spray cosmetic herbicides for dandelions; they are only used to treat legislated noxious weeds within City limits. Dandelions may be mowed before they seed out if our mowing rotation allows. Thank you for your concern.

There is a large area that does not have grass. It has been completely displaced by weeds. Could the city reseed.

The park has been assessed by our turf repair crew and the turf cover is sufficient at this time. It only appears that there is no grass as the park was recently mowed and the dandelions have re-flowered. We will continue to monitor this area in future.
