You mean they have a permit to block and potentially damage the public sidewalk by parking a dumpster on it?
The issue I reported was not a permit question, it is the fact that there is a dumpster haphazardly parked on the sidewalk and people have to walk/wheelchair/stroller in the street to go around it.
Can you either address the dumpster issue or confirm that their permit allows them to block the public sidewalk? Thanks.
Right on! So they have a permit - that means East Point Code Enforcement now should be able to find out immediately who is the real owner of the property, their contact information, etc., and who is their general contractor who pulled the permit.
Armed with that information, plus the leverage of the building permit (ability to file a "Stop Work" order), it should be no problem for Officer Carter or someone else at Code Enforcement to get the dumpster placed in the driveway of this home, instead of blocking the public right of way (side walk).
