I see drug deals going on all the time at the corner of pearl and liberty. Arescos sells empty dime bags and drug paraphernalia to make it easier for them.
ACTUALLY I AM BEGINING TO BELEIVE THAT ARESCO'S OWNERS HAVE A CUT IN THE DRUG ACTIVITY....THEY SELL TONS & TONS OF "ITEMS" IN THEIR STORE THAT DRUG DEALERS NEED/WANT & BUY....I THINK THE POLICE SHOULD START WATCHING THAT STORE.....
I have been parked in front of Aeresco's and watched many many times as drug transactions took place, in the houses across the street and in the parkinglot..It is ridiculous that no UC's can position themselves there and start busting the dealers
there still there...every night when i walk by...cant figure out why the pd havent busted them yet...starting to wonder if arescos is involved at this point.
It's really quite sad to hear someone with the mind set that Sarah seems to have. Drugs and drug addiction are what contributes to addiction as well as crime ! You must be really stupid if you think that there is no correlation between drugs using selling and crime...use your brain.
I'm stupid? "Drug addiction contributes to drug addiction". Yes addiction contributes to crime because of the stupid War on Drugs which is a great failure. Reference the 18th Amendment and the Temperance movment for some background movement. There has always been drugs and addicts. It's economics. Supply and Demand. It will never go away unless people simply don't want them anymore.
Sarah, you are obviously a pot smoking hippy... the drugs that are being sold inspire criminal activity all across middletown... those people dealing need to be busted.
Have to agree with Sarah and no I'm not a hippie. Legalize marijuana and it can't be peddled on the streets anymore. Then there will be cost savings all around. We'll save the money that we blow year after year fighting this war against a harmless plant. And we'll also bring in much needed tax revenue by taxing it so the price is still equivalent.
ok Amigo I don't think Weed is the issue at hand here I believe the report was referencing Crack and Heroin ! Who really cares about Marijuana at all..
ok Dave. I didn't see any reference to any other drug other than pot in "a's" comment when they said sarah must be a pot smoking hippie. And the other post commenting about Aresco's selling all the paraphernalia that you need. Both those comments squarely point to marijuana being the problem in this complaint.
And are you serious? If nobody cared it would be legalized already. That's the furthest from the truth. Any time anyone mentions that marijuana should be legalized the crucifiers come out with their nonsense that it's a gateway drug.
Bottom line here Amigo, is drugs such as Crack Cocaine, Heroin, Perocets Oxycontin, and other narcotics are being sold I suspect Marijuana is in there as well. I am not looking to get into any debate over marijuana and weather it should be legal or illeagle. But the fact that drugs are being sold out in the open in front of young kids and other teenagers as well is wrong and this needs to be adressed.
It doesnt matter if it should be legalized or not because as of right now its not, so right now its illegal. Pot, cocaine, heroin, the whole gang, its all illegal. It does need to be addressed because they are breaking the law.
Dave and MarieA are definitely correct in the last statement. I was more sticking up for sarah and mary jane. I see no reason why marijuana should be considered the same as all of the hard core manufactured drugs that you have now pointed out. But MarieA you are absolutely right. It's still illegal and even if it wasn't it shouldn't be smoked right out in the open on Liberty St or any other street where children may be around. And lastly you are certainly correct in that this needs to be addressed. That is the legalization of mary jane.
The City of Middletown will officially launch SeeClickFix in October 2016. As we ramp up with this partnership, the City is offering a limited number of reportable issue types and we ask that residents submit only the issues listed through SeeClickFix. Other issues not listed through SeeClickFix can be reported by calling the appropriate City Department. If the issue you originally reported has not yet been resolved and is listed through the selectable Issues, please consider submitting a new report through the SeeClickFix system and we’ll be happy to address your concern at that time. Thanks and the City is excited about this new partnership to continue improving Middletown.

There is a way to fix this you know. Mind your business and stop looking for "drug transactions" you see what you want it to be.
Even if they were selling drugs, it's none of your business...really
