Description
Hi,
I posted about this earlier this week and it got resolved, however the issue has been resurfaced. There is a loud, consistent beeping noise at this specific intersection that goes on for the entire night. There was one or two nights in which it was quiet after I submitted the initial proposal, however it appears to have come back.
I understand that this beeping is for the disabled population, however I do not understand why that it’s only this specific intersection that has the auditory signal. I just drove south to the adjacent intersections on 15th and they do NOT have the same, consistent beeping. Why is it that only this intersection has it and not the others?
I I have all my windows closed in my house and I actually have quite a bit of tall trees and vegetation between my house and the intersection. I still, however, can clearly hear it all night. All I want is a peaceful night’s rest where I do not have to rely on sleeping pills to get me through the horrid, nightly beeping.
I ask that this issue gets resolved once and for all so that I (and my many neighbors who live around the same intersection) can live quietly and peacefully in my own home.

King County will replace all 8 ped pushbuttons at this location. It’s going to take at least a couple of weeks before the parts come in and more time to schedule King County crew to install the equipment. In the meantime, the King County signal tech will adjust the volume to the lowest setting on all the pushbuttons again.
