Description
Traffic on red rock has been higher then normal with vehicles going well above the posted limit, tailgating vehicles that are going the speed limit, running the stop signs, not yielding to pedestrians. I have almost been rear ended multiple times just trying to pull into my driveway. We also need enforcement during school pickup at red rock school starting at 2:45. Parents as well as other traffic go well above the posted speed limit and there are children walking home from school.

Since receiving your comments, the Special Enforcement Team has been in the area monitoring traffic. We have found a few violations and have dealt with them. The team as well as patrol units will continuing to monitor the area and enforce traffic laws.
As for Red Rock Elementary; there are traffic issues at every school in the city. Unfortunately parents feel the need to take their children to school opposed to have them ride the bus. This is the basis of the problem. We need the schools and parents to help make the the schools safe.
