I agree. I had cousin who is Seargent with Chicago PD..... and he said he felt safer in Chicago than here!!!!!! Imagine that...... Albuquerque over the years has done nothing to stop epidemic of homeless people ..... you can’t even enjoy the parks for fear of stepping on a needle ( which did happen to a friend of mine) ........ Homeless people have spread the word that Albuquerque is the place to be....... the homeless people in the parks, sidewalks,bosque, bridges, alleys.... they choose to live that way ....they are the ones who are not using services of the shelters..... city needs to buy land far from city... let them camp there... and pick them up everyday at 8 am to do community service .... since they get to live rent free! Had a very dangerous homeless man living in alley behind my house...... was told by APD they would have to evict him .... WOW WOW

My neighborhood, South Los Altos, use to be clean and safe. Now the street corner beggars have trashed Eubank Ave from Central to Lomas. All four corners of Eubank and I-40 interchange have camps. Litter and human waste are everywhere, holes are cut in the chain link fences, stolen shopping carts carry their bounty. The mayor, city council and Albuqueque Police are complicit in their crimes. As the camps are moved the beggars are allowed to keep the stolen shopping carts. And in this way APD and City leaders are willing participants in these thefts.
