Thank you for contacting the City of Huntsville - Traffic Engineering. The intersection you are referencing has been impacted by the Cecil Ashburn Closure. California is the side street at Governors and as such we are prioritizing the Eastbound movement on Governors drive to accommodate the increase of users on Governors Drive. Northbound California has experienced delay prior to the detour route and drivers should expect that to continue during this time. We suggest using alternate routes to access Governors Driver farther west as the delay/congestion may be better at other intersections. Staff will continue to monitor and make changes that are necessary that don't negatively effect the overall performance of the system.
