The alley between the houses on First Street, NW between Q Street and Florida Avenue, NW needs to be repaved. Water sits in the alley in more than one place after it rains. This is a health hazard as it is a breeding place for mosquitoes. I have requested that this alley be repaved since 1985.

It would be wonderful to have this done. It also collects lots of dumped trash. This alley needs attention.

Andre Lee of DPW promises that the alley will have trash cleared out today and the vacant lot near the one end of the alley, near gas station at Q, will have trash removed. Let's hope it happens, and then the city really upgrades this alley as they've been promising and we get some good lighting from the end of the alley closest to Sunshine Liquor where the conditions are the worse.
