This picture was taken beneath the rail lines on 2nd Avenue between Amsterdam and Baltimore. This is a more recent picture, but this situation has existed for a long time. The contractors on the Pistons site have simply done a bad job with erosion control from their site. They have essentially used the sewer to drain sand and soil from their site for close to 1 year. The entire strip on 2nd Avenue along their construction site contains grit, sand, and pebbles. They should be cited for not putting erosion and run off control measures in place.
