Since 2013 the former Pleasers Club on Cleveland Av. has been a burned-out eyesore in our community. It is now covered with graffiti while the rest of the block surrounding it is new businesses. The City has ordinances that require buildings/businesses in this condition be torn down within 60 days of destruction by fire. We are way past that. If this was on Peachtree St. it would have been done already. It is time to move on getting this building gone and the owners held to the law. Our neighborhood doesn't deserve this negligence.

I have reported this to Atlanta's Code Enforcement because it is in Atlanta. Surely between the two cities, something can be done. It's horrible.

It is ridiculous that this property and the car wash at the corner (Sylvin) can get away with looking so bad or so long. Both properties are an eyesore and UN fare to the adjacent business and property owners!

So, what is the status? It is interesting that a real estate broker was able to find the owner, as it was listed for sale for years. Perhaps a call out to the media will get this resolved.
