I can watch THOUSANDS of speeders fly down my street on a daily basis. But, don't bother calling the sheriff. I've tried that route for years. They'll drive down your street, see no speeders and then drive away. They will ask you why you're the only one complaining. They will tell you that you don't know what 25 mph (or 40) looks like. They will tell the city that there is no problem. The city won't address the issue, either. There are obvious design problems within this city stemming from all the "cut through" streets that breed speeding and heavy traffic in our neighborhoods. Too bad for the tax paying residents who want safer neighborhoods.

People drive faster then the speed limit, and their excuse is always "well, you're allowed to go at least 7 or 8 mph over". It's a common excuse. I'm sure I've seen you going done my street, Hubbard, faster then 25 MPH. I put it with people blasting past my house all day. But I get to laugh at a lot them since they don't see the Sheriff's patrol car parked across the street.

Only reasonable way for them to enforce it, would be for them to sit on Clinton, I know the street well, and there is no place for them to park on the street and enforce it on your street only.

Remember, our city committed to paying the Macomb County Sheriff's Department 4 Deputies in 4 cars, 24/7/365. How do you expect 25% of our city's law enforcement to sit and protect your street only? If you have a problem, get a hold of your city commissioner.

That's how I get the problems I have happening around me accomplished. I go right to the department head, and all the way up the ladder to Barb Dempsey. Believe me, they will get back with you and get your problem addressed.

Clemite. I've contacted almost every commissioner this city has, the mayor, the city manager, the traffic safety commissioner, and the sheriff, . . . MULTIPLE times regarding speeding on my street(it's epidemic, to say the least). Come on out to Church Street, between Wilson and Lodewyke, and spend a little time, and then tell me how your advice works for us. I'm at a loss, for sure.
