说明
One of the larger ones can be seen in the photo below my signature. In the event the photo doesn't come through at your end, it's a 3-foot by 2-foot advertising sign for the for-profit company, Childtime. It had blown over into the weeds weeks ago at the very busy intersection of Craycroft and Sunrise---intersections that are grimy enough without the signs, because they are rarely swept.
There were five other signs at this intersection over the weekend. And there were another seven signs a mile to the east at the intersection of Kolb and Sunrise. The signs advertised summer camps, ill-mannered realtors, and shady outfits that pay quick cash for homes and cars. The un-neighborly miscreants apparently haven't heard about advertising on the Internet, social media, or even old-fashioned postal mailings. Someone other than a county employee has since removed most of them.
Both intersections have high volumes of local traffic, are in a relatively prosperous area of the Foothills, and are traveled by out-of-town visitors to get to the Loews Ventana Canyon resort, to the trailhead for the Ventana Canyon trail, and to Sabino Canyon.
