Description
My daughter has attended Randolph for 5 years (K-5th). During the course, I have noticed on many times that the HVAC located behind the admissions building across from the lunchroom was running and making VERY LOUD noise. Many parents are not aware that during the day this HVAC is screaming at 80 - 90 decibels. Most of the times parents are not in is environment and are not aware. Because I pick my daughter up at the lunchroom from aftercare I have witnessed this first hard. I composed an email to the "Head of the School" Mr. Rainey. I have requested what course of action is being taken to mitigate this harmful condition which has existed since it was built. Almost twenty years. I have emails from Jay and have met the Head of the Middle School, Mr. Jerry Beckman to discuss what their immediate action is to mitigate this problem. I was told that the area surrounding the brick wall would be enclosed with "wooden door" and that they were purchasing "dampening blankets" for the loud compressors. Honestly, I don't believe that this solution will resolve this problem. Mr. Beckman told me that he has been employed at this campus of 17 years and "no one" has complained about this problem. I feel as if I've run into an engineering nightmare and don't believe that they will correct this as it is on private property. I have a video / audio recording that I have on my iPhone if you need to see and hear this problem. Can Channel 19 please assist me? Please respond.
