Description

For thirty years or more traffic backs up on Main Street all the way to Hamilton EVERY rush hour by people simply wanting to cross over Markley Street, on Main Street to the East end of town. We need two lanes eastbound on Main Street at Markley.
Once upon a time that is the way it was and as the street is wide enough, there is no sane reason why it cannot be again. The problem was compounded by the "temporary" left turn arrow PENNDOT placed on Westbound Main street at Markley to turn onto the Dannehower Bridge during the reconstruction of
the DeKalb Street bridge over the river in the early 1990's (?), shorting the light Eastbound even more.
It is long overdue that whomever is responsible for this unnecessary traffic jam to fix it. We need two lanes Eastbound on Main crossing Markley, period. It is an outrage this manufactured traffic jam has gone on this long.
