Issue was reported to the Hampton Police Department

Hopefully the Hampton Police can find something better to do than deny access to a public street.

There is no reason to be on this public street unless you live at the end of Gray's Landing. It's signed as "no parking, no stopping and no standing". These signs were put up due to numerous safety issues concerning children walking to and from school. The official child pick-up and drop-off location can be found at the front of the school.

Rob Rodgers, you state that Grays Landing is a public street, however considering the street ends at the yellow gate adjacent to the school, there is no exit for any vehicles other than to turn around in an unsafe manner. What the signs are intended to reduce is the excessive parking on the street of which they are somewhat successful; albeit the few rogue parents who choose to violate the posted signs. Maybe of the police would issue citations for the violators, the traffic would be reduced. citations
