In 2018 Hembree Road, between Houze Road and Chaffin Road, was resurfaced, in two phases: first between Houze Road and Crabapple Road, and then between Crabapple Road and Chaffin Road.
The section between Houze Road and Crabapple Road was nicely restriped. But the section between Crabapple Road and Chaffin Road received only a thin drizzle of yellow paint approximating a line down the middle, with associated drizzling of white lines on each edge. This drizzle wore away due to traffic and rain, and I wrote to you about this, requesting that the permanent striping be done. Although I received no written reply, soon thereafter a fresh drizzle was applied. Now that paint is beginning to wear away and the yellow "center line" is, in some places, nearly impossible to discern.
I'm requesting that the permanent restriping of Hembree Road west of Crabapple Road be done soon, perhaps as a part of the permanent restriping of nearby Hardscrabble Road. Hembree Road, all the way to Chaffin Road, has become a popular thoroughfare now that the traffic circle at Chaffin and Hardscrabble has been completed. Unfortunately, without a true center line on Hembree Road, many drivers only approximate their driving on their own side of the middle of the road, and opposing traffic is being endangered thereby.

Our Construction Supervisor has gotten a new paving contractor this year and he reports that the roads from last year will be striped within three weeks.
