Should I make a complaint about the trees growing out of your gutters, AC condensate drain not to code, and knee high grass or are we going to be adults here?
This case has been reviewed by a building inspector. It has been determined by the pictures that the post has been installed as a "repair" to an existing deck, which does not require any permit. If there is a question of right of way or egress, that issue should be taken up with your townhouse HOA as it would be a violation of the CCR's.
As the deck in question is not new construction it is not in violation.
UPDATE: Upon closer review by the Chief Building Inspector, it has been determined that this deck is currently NOT to code and my have been constructed materials not consistant with the building code. This case will continue to be investigated and we apologize for any confusion. This See click fix case will be updated as the investigation continues - Thank you for your patience, Roswell Code Enforcement Supervisor/City of Roswell Chief Building Official.

What if it is impeeding the ingress and egress of the common driveway?
Since the deck is "sagging", do we just wait for the whole thing to come down. I don't believe the deck was permitted or built to code.
