We have serious curb and street problems on the circle of Ray Dr. West. The street was resurfaced in 1987 and no curbs were redone. At the time it was done in asphalt. It was not installed even with the curb and therefore has pushed the curbs into the yards and destroyed them. The curbs have deteriorated beyond repair and are now very hazordous to walk around or over. My husband tripped on one and broke a rib and the trash collector fell and hurt his back. This no doubt has cost the city money. We have appeared at CC meetings, spoken to the Council and spoke to Mayors White and Lanford all to no avail. And likewise grass is growing up through the destroyed paving. This greatly needs to be addressed before or along with any other street projects.

Once upon a time the City had a plan for repairing situations as you have. The plan was called "worst first" . Each block was rated for street and drainage and then given a numerical score BY THE CITY ENIGINEER. The worst street were given priority. Haltom City has given up the science method in favor of....??
Haltom City Taxes went up *8 per cent this coming property tax bill. Plus we will havve a bond election to repair streets too. Not your though. Drive down the streets they propose to rebuild.

Visitors to my home constantly comment about the curbs, most of them in HC themselves. They wonder and ask about why doesn't the city "DO" something about our safety and do their jobs. I can only reply that I suppose we on our circle are not important enough. The fact is, we do pay our taxes, or at least most of us, don't know about all of us, just like the mayor and all the City Council members are supposed to do.
I am only told tha the worst areas get the repairs. I believe one of the worst areas is right on this circle on this hill called Ray Drive West.
Seems AT&T and Google never heard of this street, nor do the AT&T workmen know where we are. Maybe the city has forgotten us as well except for sending us the watrer bill and the tax satements.
