Well, where do I even begin, as a home owner in the neighborhood where this public park is located, I’m disappointed to announce that my husband and I have decided to never return to this park to let our small children play, which is sad because don’t our taxes fund that park? There are large white rats, which slip underneath the door on the side of the building. I’m not sure if park officials realize how easy it is to catch rat lung disease, and to think that there are young campers who attend that recreation center/ park daily, is so scary, aren’t you guys worried about a law suit from one of these innocent children’s parents from possibly getting sick? There are constantly teenagers up there sitting under the pavilion smoking marijuana, where are the police? Why are they not patrolling this park more, when there are always grown men gambling on the basketball courts that end up in fights? The trash is horrible, you cannot walk one foot in any direction without having to step around a piece of garbage. This is not a bad neighborhood, so I’m curious on why this park is maintained this way, and left unpatrolled. Now that I know you can post pictures, I will be sure to go back up there without my children and take some snap shots of the huge rats. Also, shame on the camp workers for not making the campers pick up after themselves, and leaving their plastic lunch trays, plastic bottles of all sorts, chip bags, candy wrappers, etc. all over the ground. Sincerely, a concerned home owner.
