It is indeed a hazard to all cyclists.
on closer inspection, I discovered that the gap had asphalt within. perhaps it was a previous attempt to seal the gap. In any case, it is rather odd to have the pavement pieces join parallel to the direction of perceived travel.

It seems Blacktown City Council is taking action to fix the section of cycle way between Sanctuary drive and White Heart drive, along Windsor road. really glad this is going ahead!
hopefully the 'gap in the pavement' issue will be fixed in this round of maintenance.

Well, the work is well and under way and it seems that they have spent the first day replacing sections of pavement. looking good so far.
Looking forward to seeing this complete!

Blacktown council has reopened and the path is looking great! the gap in the path is now rectified with a completely new slab.
i have attached a photo of the finished product. Excuse the shadows cast by the fence on the east side.
