Again, we do NOT need another light there to back up traffic on 84! I have been through that intersection a few times per day for the last 14 years and somehow, with the exception of rush hour where you might have to wait a minute or 2, I don't usually wait more than 30 seconds. If you REALLY have a problem, then either go down Chillicothe to the light there or go to King Memorial to that light.
This is the problem with our county - everyone is in such a huge hurry that a minute or 2 is a problem for them and they would rather have a light that backs up the entire flow of trafffic, inconveniencing many for the convenience of a few.

Let's please exercise some common sense! To prove a point, I was there yesterday at 5:00, a busy time and it took me exactly 7 seconds to wait and make the left. On the really busy rush hour time, took me 90 seconds. Again, why does your preference to get out sooner take precedence over backing up the rest of 84? It is basic traffic behavior and people who drive regularly in a variety of thoroughfares know that. Obviously some knowledgeable, experienced engineers disagree with you or there would've been a traffic light there by now. Having a traffic light there would also back up Hopkins traffic because people would have to wait for possibly a 3-minute light when they could've made the turn way before the light turned. Suddenly, you have a back-up at the 4-way intersection with Chillicothe. Again, that is basic traffic common sense!
Now, there isn't a traffic light. Go a different way if you're too nervous to drive there. If it takes you more than 2 minutes to make the turn (which incidentally, many traffic lights take 2 minutes or more), then go less than 2 minutes out of your way on Chillicothe to get the light there or over to King Memorial.
