Description
I noticed new light bulbs were installed on the street this past week. LED and not the soft orange light that dispersed light like we used to have. They are terrible. I cannot see 2 feet off the blacktop. There are runners and dog walkers and the orange light used to softly disperse the light and I could see the pedestrians. These new lights are creepy. They reflect off the cars like another car is coming, but they don't reflect off runners yellow/white reflection vests the same way. I don't like the new lights. They are very focused on the street blacktop and probably more cost or energy efficient, but I don't think it makes the neighborhood safer. I can't see better with no sidewalks and someone standing in the grass. Maybe we need a color filter or the lights need to be refocused for optimal lighting. Maybe these light bulbs in this version of the lights is not optimal.

A. Maybe there are different colored or combined colored lights that would make pedestrians more visible.
