I live right down the street from this house, not just someone who drives by, and I don’t understand what the problem is with these people. They have 2 vehicles that are parked with the rear ends facing their house because it’s a busy street to back out on to, not because they’re hiding the tags, they don’t have a retaliatory sign in their yard other than the sign from the fence company that built their fence, and the dog only gets out when the gate is accidentally left open. The dog is so friendly, I can’t understand how anyone without the nerve to even reveal their identity can waste time on here with made up accusations about people they don’t know at all. I have not met my neighbors but I can tell they aren’t scary or trying to retaliate against anyone. They are just trying to make it in this world with limited space to do so and under the ever watchful eyes of judgy people driving by. You aren’t scared, you’re nosy and rude. You don’t live on our street and this website is not meant to be used as a ranting place for people who don’t like the way someone parks their car. You’re part of the problem with our city, all you want to do is complain but only behind the safety and anonymity of the keyboard.

Oh and another fact, my property value increased by $12,000 from last year, just like every other property on this street

That property has been a nuisance for awhile now, other neighbors have also complained about it. There should be a history on here for all the other complaints on that house.

There is a history, all from cowards, like you, unable to reveal who they are and most say how they “feel for their neighbors”. You already admitted to not being a neighbor and I am a neighbor, it’s not as terrible to live with as you people seem to think. Live and let live, and pray that you never have anything for your neighbors to complain about. I’m sure your perfect, though.

I agree with the neighbor, those people have worked very hard to correct the violations. They aren't scary either, just loud sometimes

I will be closing this complaint out. There are no current violations on the property. I suggest you contact the police department community police officer on the non-emergent line 785-368-9200 regarding the slander on the fence. I am unable to enforce anything on that as I do not have a Code for it. City animal control can also be reached at the number given regarding the dog complaint.

The dogs do run loose. Almost got shot one night when he went after a couple buddies of my buddies as they
went to their car. Maybe you can come down here and show me where the tags are on the two trucks in the drive. There is one I believe it is for an antique which it is not. When your car comes up missing let me know what it looks like and I will let you know if it is one of the many that I see go thru as a whole car but came out in pieces. Maybe if your bike comes up missing you can also let me know and I will check the backyard to see if it was in the truckload that I have seen dropped off.

I was there having lunch with my husband the day the owner of that stolen bike came to your office to take it back from him so i believe stolen goods are not hard to come by on this block. There has been crime in this area far longer than they have lived next door to you. I dont get it, you complain about the neighbors parking in the street, you complain about them parking in the yard, you complain about the code enforcer not doing their job, you dont answer the door when the code enforcer attempts to visit you, you should just let it go, Carolyn, you cant throw a temper tantrum on this website to force your neighbors to conform to your mood. I dont even know them personally but i think anyone who minds their own business and lives and lets live is a good neighbor. Im sorry you feel the need to judge them as thieves, it probably fuels the problem when you post things like that about them. Why is it ok for you to post on here that they are thieves but its not ok for them to write on their fence about you? Theyre both untrue statements, i know you arent even close to what they say you are, thats just ridiculous, but getting this angry is exactly what they want. I say there is no sign on their fence, and you should tell yourself the same if you want to stop the war. They may or may not be thieves, you may or may not be what the words on that fence say, but this website is not the place to determine who is right or wrong about that. You turned them in to code compliance and they corrected the problem, you need to find another way to handle the issues that remain. No thanks, I would rather leave it at the fact posted on August 2, right above your comments, from the code enforcer that the property has no violations, because that is the only person by whom time is being wasted continuing this nonsense. We have 16 year old kids killing each other in the streets, Carolyn, I personally feel that our law enforcement has more important things to deal with than one citizen’s suspicion of another citizen’s crimes. The only time you’ve ever shown any neighborly interest in my property is when the fire department was here during an emergency, and I highly doubt it was out of concern or the desire to help anybody. You definitely didn’t seem interested in stopping the burglary of my entire copper pipe plumbing system when my family was out of town a few years ago. I don’t know what your goal is here, to be right or to be a good citizen of Topeka, because they are not the same thing. You miss my point entirely and that’s ok, I’m sure anyone who posed a threat to how my boyfriend makes money would make me as angry as the neighbors having stolen items makes you. Is that what the true problem is for you? Are the people at 619 competition for your buddies and your buddies buddies? Since you’ve already mentioned having weapons to shoot an animal that poses a threat, do you really think I would set foot on your property much less engage in a conversation face to face about your retaliatory next door neighbors’ daily activities? And did I send that click fix in. I have put my name on anything sent by me. You should have checked his backyard for your copper. He was thrown out of the house on grattan for putting the rubber off the copper he was stripping there in a well in backyard. Hummmmmmm.

I’m sure you’re right, I wave the white flag of surrender. I am the one who doesn’t know the whole story. I admit, I don’t know anything about them, but I do know that I don’t want to start a feud with you, especially since I have always liked you and your family and I know you would have stopped any thieves in my house if you had seen them. Policing my property is not your job so I was wrong to say anything about that. I don’t know them at all but I can definitely say without a shred of doubt that what is written on that fence (I can’t even write the words because it’s not who you are) is a complete lie. Even if anything you said about your neighbors was all lies and you were just being a bee word, that insult on his fence needs to be removed and I’ll go over to his house and scrub it off myself if it’s still there tonight. Nobody should have to look at such an ugly sight every time they leave or arrive to their home of over 20 years. I think I’ll go introduce myself to them and see how he answers when I ask why that’s on his fence. I defended them without even looking closely at his yard, to see what is there, and they don’t even have the decency to erase it. If they won’t remove it, I will. I’ll probably go to jail for it, though, the way things go around here

I have addressed sanitation violations and weeds violations at this residence and did a survey throughout the entire area, 2 block radius addressing similar violations. Please be patient as I attempt to gain compliance.

I went over and introduced myself, asked him to take the sign down, told him I would take it down myself if he wouldn’t, then he said it would electrocute anyone who tried because he wired it up to 10000 volts of power so I decided not to. As wrong as the sign may be and as embarrassing as it is to see in my neighborhood, you deserve to be defended for it but you’re not worth dying for. I understand that when someone is determined to be a jerk, nothing anyone does can change it. I do want to thank you, though, for code compliance surveying the 2 block radius and sending notice to my 70 year old mother to cover the antique car in her backyard. You really do help our community and I’m grateful for hateful people like you, I appreciate how much you care about our neighborhood.
