I couldn’t agree more with Erin Youhas. I’ve lived on Pond Street for 18yr and see how fast people drive down this street. No one stops at the crosswalks which concerns me. My kids and their friends like to walk up to Hollingsworth,Rosies and to the High School. I worried one of these days someone’s going to get hurt or even worse. I think there should be light or cones at these crosswalks on Pond Street.

The other concern is that people pull up in front of the variety store, right next to the crosswalk. This makes it very difficult to see people trying to cross the street. Perhaps no parking signs? There is a parking lot for cars to pull into.

My neighbor got hit by a car a few years ago at this crosswalk. Very dangerous intersection to cross at. I almost got hit myself when a car decided to go around the car that was stopping to let me cross. Considering it's right by the highschool and gets a fair amount of foot traffic from students and residents, I don't know why there has never been an actual cross signal out here.
