Description

At the watershed I see a sign that says there are chemicals being used to treat the weeds. I don’t know what to say. A ,month ago, there were so many birds and animals in the lake. Now, there is an obvious decrease. And this water shed goes into the bay. Why would anyone use chemicals, during the rainy season, around any water way. Isn’t there a ban on using chemicals on our lawns? Plus the turtles lay their eggs in those weeds. I think a biologist, on an environmental scientist should take a look at this area. There were otters in the water, and I know they are endangered. Fewer Osprey, I don’t see the eagle any more. The crows and seagulls don’t even want to come near the water anymore, and they used to come daily. There are large fish in that water.

It’s all very confusing. But I understand you city people are busy getting things done. Well, putting poison in the vegetation to cut back on local ‘weeds’ seems ignorant. I want to know who I can talk to to make sure this watershed is cared for, rather maintained like a city ordinance. We need this watershed to breathe, and I don’t want to breath in more toxins.
