My understanding is that Greene street will also have a bike lane. That means that two lanes would feed into Washington.

I’m a fan of more bike lanes! But until that happens, there needs to be some type of signage/cones/etc. Forcing cars to merge left with no warning will cause an accident here.

The northbound approach of Greene St/Washington St at 2nd St is as follows west to east (left to right) - shared left-turn/through, exclusive through lane, exclusive right-turn lane. The pavement striping and lane designation signage was updated to reflect this change.
