Going west on 19 mile road to Hayes there is a left turn lane, a straight through lane and a right turn lane only. There is no warning sign as to the "right turn only" lane. Only when you get to the light can you see the sign that it is a right turn only on the corner. There needs to be a "right turn only" sign way before you get to the corner. It is an issue when you are in the right lane waiting to turn right with the green arrow and then you get some car in the front that is going straight then backs traffic up so that car can merge into the straight lane while other cars are held up in the right turn lane.

We will review in the field today; however, our inventory indicates that there already is a sign in the field that shows a left turn, through lane and right turn lane prior to the intersection. This sign could have been knocked down, which is why we must have a physical review. If the sign is down, it will be written up for reinstallation in a few days, as the work load and Miss Dig clearance allows.
In the future, please contact us directly at geninfo@rcmcweb.org for any road, sign or signal issues. Thank you.

Why not install another sign closer to the intersection, so those stopped at the light, in the right turn ONLY lane, can see it? They may have missed seeing the 1st sign, as it is installed a great distance from the intersection. Or, maybe they are deliberately breaking the law and are pretending right-turn-only is optional. We have seen people try to bluff their way through the intersection [and not get cut-off] by using their right turn signal [in the right turn only lane] as a decoy, then drag race to 'get ahead' of the person in the through lane. There is a problem here; a real pocket of friction.
Also, consider Getting Rid of the yellow (I know; it's standard regulations) merge sign after the intersection (west-bound 19 mile at Hayes). It is useless. People turning right from southbound Hayes cannot see it and should yield to westbound 19 mile right of way traffic. West-bound 19 mile drivers (opportunists) are using it to pretend that through-lane traffic should yield to their crowding-in from the right turn ONLY lane!
What part of "Right Lane MUST Turn Right" do they not understand?!
After 1 year ago, this issue needs to be addressed, as people continue to proceed straight through the intersection from the right turn only lane, and I end up cutting them off and they have to crowd-in and cut others off to avoid getting run into the curb. DO not encourage road rage by wroong and/or useless signage!
PUT ANOTHER SIGN RIGHT ON THE CORNER

The merge sign after Hayes going west is a waste, no one sees it unless you are the driver stopped at the light waiting to merge into the "straight" lane. thanks!!
