Description
The festival/street fair is way too loud and it has lasted for over 9 hours, which is ridiculous.
Most of the buildings around this event is residential and I live on 20th floor of the building next to the event. I have been having constant headache today, despite having closed all my windows and curtains.
Based on the Noise Control Act, the established sound level standards of 50 decibels during nighttime (10:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m.) and 65 decibels during daytime. Currently it is 9:15pm, the noise is well over 65 decibels - see image attached for a decibel meter, and it has been like this for HOURS!

Day 2 of the festival, the noise continues.
I have called JCPD non-emergency line, and all I got was some kept telling me: they have a permit.
How can they issue such a permit that disrupts the whole weekend?? What was they thinking ???

Guys I have just read the Jersey City Code of Ordinances, if I understand correctly the noise level should be 55 decibels since I measured indoor with all windows closed.
My question is the same as GreatDay - is there a noise level limit for events that has a permit?
Also on the code there is a section for "Enforcement officers / Noise control officers", my question is, does this department / position actually exist?
