This is happening all over town. Can this be properly addressed one way or the other? Is it ok to park on front lawns, and if not what is the plan going forward to enforce the town-wide policy of no front lawn parking Over on Cross st, this practice appears to have gone on for years. When and what are the exceptions and how do you define exceptions?
Apparently the fine is not high enough! Raise the fine high enough so that it hurts them in the pocket book. If that does not work take them to court,
A by-law with no teeth is useless.
Thank You
If you have a complaint for Eisenhower please create one separate from this. it will not be addressed . As for the fine schedule was voted on by the Town Council 40U Violation.
Following the provisions of Chapter 40U of the Massachusetts General Laws regarding housing code violations, the Town must notify a property owner of a violation and allow two weeks to resolve the issue. If, at the end of two weeks, the owner is still in violation, daily fines are assessed. Unpaid fines are placed as a lien on the property. Regardless of these procedures, there is no guarantee that the homeowner will comply and the Town may not enter onto private property to maintain it. This issue has been assigned to Code Enforcement for review and an update will follow shortly. Thank you for your patience.
A Warning will be issued to Owner.
