The trash barrel was removed as this barrel filled up with dog waste. As this Cemetery does not allow dogs we removed the barrel to see if this would help remind residents not to allow dogs into the Cemetery. The barrel was being filled by local residents who walk their dogs, not by people who use the cemetary. I know this for a fact, as I am a dog owner. The presence of this barrel is the reason the streets are clean of litter and dog waste. Please reconsider the removal of this barrel. The whole point of street barrels is to keep litter off the streets.
