Hi there, I came to see if there was any reply here, and found that apparently none of my text or images got uploaded when the ticket was created. I'll try uploading the pic again, but the main complaint I had is that NO PARKING signs are going up with backdated dates. In other words, it's impossible to move your car before the NO PARKING starts. On Monday evening, I parked, and there were no signs up. Tuesday Morning, no signs. I was double checking, because the start of the month is street cleaning in this area. Tuesday evening I got home from work, and there was a sign saying no Parking, starting that morning at 7am. Luckily my car hadn't been towed, but I'd rather not count on luck. There's no way I can move my car if the sign goes up *after* 7am. The first time this kind of thing happened, I thought I had just missed the sign. But it's happened many times since then. I've actually seen one of the backdated signs being hung, so I know it's not just that I'm not seeing them when I park. Can someone explain what the rules are that construction companies have to follow when hanging these signs? Can there be some minimum warning time, like maybe the no parking period can only start 24 hours *after* the sign goes up?

I believe the signs have to be hung at least 24h before, if not 48h, see e.g. https://cambridgema.viewpointcloud.com/categories/1122/record-types/6698
Check with the Traffic, Parking & Transportation Department next time this happens.
