I understand you called the Public Works office this morning and the hauler was sent back to collect your rubbish.

There was an issue at the facility where the rubbish is delivered yesterday that caused a delay in trash collection. Last week the rubbish was delayed one day due to the Labor Day Holiday.

Yes, and thank you. The week before Labor day on our scheduled day of Tuesday morn, they did not pick up the trash then. I called after I realized the barrels were still full. I was told no one could pick them up and I had to wait until the next Wednesday (due to holiday) to have it removed (We had to keep some trash in the house because there was no room to put them in barrels).
This means taking out the barrels, bringing the fly ridden barrels back and waiting another week before bringing them out again. Not sure why other barrels are taken. Maybe they just brought back barrels full of trash as well and I assumed they were picked up. I do not know. I just hope it will be remedied.

I will consider the matter resolved at this time.

I needed to express in a public arena (thanks for that being available to us) so that I can feel certain that our home will indeed have the trash removed each week. It never was an issue for the almost 30 years we have lived here.
