You cannot tell me the Councilman does not read this website and did not read the comment ? I asked for them to make our neighborhood safer just like they do everywhere else in city with an automated cross walk to connect both sides of Hohman avenue in a safer manner. Now the street is being redone, no automated cross walks, no cross walks anywhere, no bike lanes on Hohman. Now the speeds after repaving will be 60 mph, thru a residential area. Why is 173rd St thru Hessville have stop signs every block ? It is also a residential area ? 165th St thru Hessville also has stop signs, main traffic corridor ??
A new automated crossing was just built in North Hammond across Chicago avenue, nothing for our Neighborhood.
