Please be advised that Norseman Ave is a private way. Repairing a private roadway due to erosion is beyond the temporary repairs we are allowed to make. The City is only allowed to fill potholes in the subsurface of the pavement per MA General Law and the City's Code of Ordinances.

There are two sections to Norseman Avenue. One section (also know as Edgeway) is private. The main section (the one with the erosion issue) is a municipal street. Please reopen this issue.

With snow, it will probably have to wait until spring. It gets deeper with each major run off.

It's summer and its worse. Please put a yard or two of trap rock or large stone in this expanding erosion. 1) Its beginning to erode the pavement and eventually city will have to repave.
2) Children ride bikes and play on this street and can fall in trench 3) parking is limited and this prevents parking in this location 4) mail carrier has to hop the trench 5) any auto slipping off edge will be severely damaged.
