Description
Cars parked inside the roundabout and near the corner daily for bus stop pickup. There are a half dozen or more cars in and around the round-about several times each day as people congregate to pick up their kids from the bus stop. The intersection becomes so congested that I'm surprised the school bus can navigate it. No parking signs should be installed inside the round-about and within 50-100 feet of it.

So here is some feedback from the Town of Wake Forest.
"The general guideline is that “vehicles cannot impede the flow of traffic or negatively impact the functionality” of the roundabout. As it stands right now, that is all we have.
We have discussed adding specific distances from roundabouts, ie “No Stopping, No Standing” signs, but are still evaluating the need. If common sense doesn’t prevail, which it sounds like the case at the roundabout your readers inquired about, we may have to add language to the Town Ordinance.
Meanwhile, I will discuss this situation with the Police Chief to monitor and enforce our current guideline."
We would suggest that is you think the police should monitor and ticket the parkers in this area that you contact the WFPD on the non-emergency line and file a complaint. Call 919-554-6150.
