But there are no sidewalks once you pass Pawlings Circle towards the county line. The area from Ferry Lane in Chester county, on Pawlings Road, is highly dangerous with absolutely no shoulders and hidden curves, until you reach the bike trail access after Walnut Hill, where the parking area is. It's only about a mile, but it is a very dangerous mile where children and others are often riding their bikes many times a day!

I AGREE THAT A CONNECTING PATH IS NEEDED BETWEEN THE TWO AREAS. IT IS A DANGEROUS AREA FOR BIKERS, AND ESPECIALLY THOSE WITH CHILDREN.

Just this week i saw a mom with 4 small children struggling with bikes crossing yatds and dodging trees to get to the pawlings rd start of the audubon trail from the phoenixville direction. Very dangerous. At least make safe shoulders on the road!!!

Still dangerous. There should be a walkway or shoulder.from the county line of Ches &. Mont. counties on pawlings rd, from the river bridge to the park access above 422 on pawlings rd. to connect the public bike access. (Also dangerous is on the chester county side which is a designated bicycle road!)
No shoulders, blind spots, speed limit 45 mph, cars flying by, all this in a 1/4 to 1/2 mile roadside that connects the valley forge river trail to the pawlings rd access to the schuykill river trail, perkiomin trail, multiple parks. I see bicyclists everyday and kids too trying to hold steady whilst cars pass them closely. Someone should do something before someone gets hurt.
