Description
Now the fourth submission of the broken clock on top of the Town Hall building. Why is no one responding to this? It has been broken for years and should be removed or replaced. The City of Newton responds to every concern in three business days, why is this going unnoticed for months!

You must be a very patient person. I look at some of these Click Fix items and wonder why people make such issues out of things. As far as the Town Hall clock it has been reported so why is it necessary to follow up 3 more times. If it is that important to this person than check with the BOS as you indicated it has been sent to the BOS. Also, my comment was not a criticism of the new Town Administrator - just letting the person know.
Have a wonderful New Years and a prosperous and happy 2020,
Kwn

I am definitely patient. I believe that our town should look aesthetically as good as it can. I think it's needed to follow up since nothing has been done. If you have looked at these postings, you can see that many lapse for months and months. I don't understand why, as I have submitted over 1500 requests to the City of Newton, which have all been responded to quickly. Emails I send to the Wellesley DPW are also responded to very quickly. I consider Westwood to be similar to both Newton and Wellesley and don't understand why it takes Westwood so much longer to act on these issues. I don't disagree with you and maybe at some point I should check with the Select Board. I also don't disagree that many of these requests are small issues; however my stance is that any issue brought forth that is valid in any manner should be rectified.
I hope you have a happy New Year as well, and I do appreciate your input,
Brandon K.

I agree with many of your issues.
It is unfortunate that the Westwood does not respond more effectively.
I appreciate your interest in making Westwood better.
It woudl seem appropriate to contact the BOS and also to ask them
for some metrics on how Westwood is supporting this Click Fix activity.
Happy New Year!

We apologize for the delayed response. With a change in personnel, the email alerts were going to a non valid email address, and we have since corrected. As for the clock, I am being told the current clock cannot be fixed. If the town decides to renovate the Town Hall at some point in the future, a new clock could be part of the design discussion. If you have further questions, please contact the Select Board office at 781-326-4172.
