Staff has gone out to the property to investigate the situation. There were no signs of a "city approved" clean out which staff could use to clear the roots. According to our sewer ordinance, the property owner is responsible for the lateral from the building all the way to the tie in at our city main when there is no "city approved" clean out present. Staff tried looking for a clean out on the property which we could use to perform a courtesy and help with the removal of roots. No clean out was found. There was nothing we could do on our end to help out.
