In the interest of public safety, the city of Macon needs to install stop signs on Elm Street, at the intersection of Elm and Calhoun. There is a blind spot on the southwest side of that intersection, which makes it difficult to see traffic, going up or down Elm, when trying to pull onto Elm from Calhoun, coming up from the direction of the railroad tracks. Too many people also drive well over the speed limit on Elm St, , which makes it unsafe for pedestrians and pets. I reported this same issue in August, but it appears to have been closed without even being addressed.
