unfortunately that is not an acceptable answer - actually it appears to me to be a blowoff. we have We have been been putting up with this for years and this slapdash 'repair' did not fix the problem of the road sinking around the manhole. as i stated before, Maclaren Circle should have been scraped and paved along with the rest of the subdivision. we are stuck with a sinking area at the end of our driveway that poses a dangerous situation thatcould cause damage to our automobiles as we have to roll over this. look at the pictures and you can clearly see that there is about an inch or so gap showing and growing. really need to have someone in authority check this out with us, before damage is done to our (and other) cars due to continued non-reponse and possible negligent malfeasance. this needs to be fixed asap, not just patched (badly). Please contact me as soon as possible to get this resolved.

Public Works has reviewed these concerns and found that the manhole has been properly adjusted to be even with the pavement. There is some slight cracking and settling of the pavement adjacent to the manhole but nothing to indicate a hazardous or damaging situation. The repair was made within 20 business days of reporting which is within the standard response time for this type of non-emergency repair. An additional patch could be performed adjacent to the manhole but it is unlikely that it will make the street any smoother than it is today.

Maclaren Circle has a pavement condition rating of 65 on a scale of 0-100 with 100 being the best. When the other streets in the neighborhood were paved a few years ago they all had ratings of 60 or below. That is why Maclaren was not paved at that time. Work has not been completed. The issue has not been fixed properly. Nor has the Dunwoody Public Works department met with me, as requested several times, to go over this problem. Closing this issue in the middle of the night, only 3 days after a statement declaration, is disingenuous at best. I once again strongly request a personal meeting to review this problem. There is no way that anyone who actually has seen this patchwork 'repair' can believe that the manhole is even with the pavement, or that the pavement is not sinking. You can see it in all the cracks in the street.

The City of Dunwoody has received this issue, as service request #7182. Currently, we are working on this, please check back for status updates.

thanks for calling but I show only 1 call on our caller id log and that was at 1:46 yesterday, March 3rd when you left a message. Calling number was 678-237-5770 with a caller id of Wireless Caller, and a call back number of 678-382-6852 per your voice message. That 5770 number does not show in our log going back to Feb 28. We do not have another voice message. We were not available yesterday when you called, we were at a birthday celebration. It was January 4, 2020 when I reported this problem and over a year has gone by (March 9, 2020) since my last attempted (and ignored) communications and the road is still sinking around the manhole. a crew came and cut the pavement to allow for removal and proper fill & repaving around the manhole to stop the sinking but no work has been done to fix the problem. Covid notwithstanding, SeeClickFix is loaded with other manhole/street/paving problems that have been addressed and fixed during the last year/18 months - but not our problem. This is a hazard and a danger to our automobiles as we go in and out of our driveway, as well as other cars using the street. damage to our automobiles caused by this often-reported problem will obviously be Dunwoody/Dekalb County responsibility.
