We apologize for the inconvenience you have experienced driving HBR. The Georgia Department of Transportation has a contractor resurfacing HBR, from the Barnwell to Mansell SR92. When the contractor performed the asphalt milling and resurfacing they cut the vehicle detection imbedded in the asphalt. For the past few weeks the contractor has been installing new detection. The loss of the vehicle detection results in the traffic signals operating on fixed timing – and therefore the signals are not operating as efficiently as normal. As soon as the vehicle detection is re-installed the signal operation is restored to normal, traffic responsive operation.
