It's a crosswalk, the brighter the better. More light pollution along the rest of Miller, please!

Positive contrast lighting is needed at all the crosswalks in Ann Arbor. We need to follow the lighting standards because too much "brightness" can decrease safety, just as super bright "high-beam" headlights can decrease visibility. I will defer to the lighting experts for a more scientific response.
