In regards to your comment (green with a sign to yield to oncoming traffic on green. so instead of being a flashing yellow arrow, the turn lane has a green light with a sign to yield. obviously this is confusing,) The Left Turn Yield On Green Ball sign is a standard sign that is used all across Huntsville City, Madison County and the State of Alabama. Drivers should only make a left turn if they have sufficient gaps in opposing traffic at this intersection and at all others with this same condition.
