Description
Recently there were parking spaces installed along the apartment building on the road allowing vehicles to park perpendicular to the curb. This has reduced the effective width of the road to less than zoning minimums. It has created a bottleneck of traffic and a danger to passing vehicles since no curb was installed with the spaces. Please review for code compliance.
The lines appear to be spray paint.

1, the silliness of the parking and converting from two way to only one way on the next block (Summit Ave) has created more volume on Highpoint.
2, the special use permit for the connecting alley of these streets was held by the previous owner of the recently sold property 1716 Summit, and is under continued zoning review involving both properties that side this alley.
3, the new owner of the 1700 Summit property is 10 parking spaces short to be in compliance with the current project going on there....
These issues all seem to have played a roll in the strange lines that appeared on Highpoint. A bit of a community - wide chain reaction that needed to and still needs to be addressed. With all of the current and proposed renovations in the immediate area, We The People need rapid attention to these parking problems, and the property owners and their management representitives need to communicate and work out their differences.
So, thanks for posting this issue, I look forward to seeing how this gets ironed out...

10/10/2014 - Service Review: Richmond Traffic Mgmt noted as of January 2014, "1/3/2014 9:14:24 AM I e-mailed Mr Bennett on 12/19/13 and never heard back. I spoke to Joe Wallace, the contractor PM that Traffic has been dealing with. They are changing the 90 degree parking to 45 degree, which will create more travel lane width."
